Ask for all the injectors to be tested before any are replaced. On a large V engine, reaching the rear injectors is most of the labour cost — so if more than one is drifting, replacing them in a single visit is dramatically cheaper than returning for the next one.
Ask for the cylinder numbering to be confirmed against the manufacturer's own diagram. V8 numbering is not consistent between manufacturers, and cylinder 7 is not in the same place on every engine.
Mention any recent injector work and whether calibration codes were entered, since an injector fitted without its code sets this fault with a good part.

Injection timing on cylinder 7 is not where the module commanded it to be.
A cylinder 7 code means a V8 or larger, and that narrows the vehicle considerably — a large diesel pickup, a commercial vehicle, or a big luxury saloon. All of them share a practical problem: access. Reaching an injector on the rear cylinders of a large V engine is often a cab-off or intake-off job, which changes the economics of the repair completely.
That is the reason to be certain before removing anything here. On an engine where the labour to reach one injector approaches the cost of a set, the leak-back test across all eight is not a thoroughness exercise, it is the decision — if several are drifting, doing them together while the engine is open is far cheaper than twice.
Cylinder 7 is at the back of a bank on most V8 firing orders, which also makes it the hottest and the least well cooled. Injectors there have a genuinely harder life and are a common first failure on high-mileage engines.
Confirm the numbering against the manufacturer's diagram. V8 cylinder numbering differs between manufacturers — some number down one bank then the other, some alternate across banks — and cylinder 7 is not in the same physical place on every engine.
