Ricardo is an engineering consultancy, not a manufacturer — and the M7003GT is the six-speed transaxle it built for the 2005 Ford GT.
⚑ That is why nothing about it is findable under Ford. The gearbox was designed and made outside Ford's own operations for a car built in four thousand examples, so the marque's service network never accumulated experience with it and the material that exists is Ricardo's and the owners' clubs'.
It is a transaxle with a limited-slip differential built in, mounted behind a supercharged V8 — so gearbox, final drive and differential are one assembly and one repair.
Its known weakness is the synchronisers under hard use, which is what most of these cars get, and a rebuild is a specialist job with a specialist parts lead time.
A bought-in transaxle in a low-volume supercar is a pattern rather than an oddity — Lotus used Rover's and Citroën's the same way, and both have pages here.
