Honda Clarity
One body, three completely different powertrains, and identifying which is the first step in any diagnosis: a hydrogen fuel-cell car with a 700-bar tank and no engine, a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5 Atkinson four used mostly as a generator, and a battery-electric with a 25.5 kWh pack. Nothing transfers between them except the shell and the interior. The fuel-cell car is the successor to the leased FCX Clarity, carries the same stack-humidity and hydrogen-leak-detection subjects, and was only ever available in California and Japan. The plug-in hybrid is the version most likely to be met outside those markets.
