Mahindra XUV700

The monocoque SUV at the top of the range, and the most electronically complex vehicle Mahindra makes — driver assistance, a full CAN-based body architecture and an Aisin six-speed automatic, which puts it in a different diagnostic class from the ladder-frame models beside it. The 2.0 mStallion turbo petrol and the 2.2 mHawk diesel are both Mahindra's own; the gearbox is not, so transmission codes follow Aisin conventions.

Since January 2026 it is sold as the XUV 7XO, which is a facelift rather than a new car — the platform and both engines carry over, and the body, the cabin and the screens are what moved. One powertrain change is worth knowing before reading a datasheet: the 153 hp tune of the diesel was dropped, so a 7XO diesel is always the 182 hp engine where an XUV700 could be either. The battery-electric car on the same nameplate is the XEV 9S, which is a different vehicle on a different platform rather than a version of this one.
