Suzuki Liana
A tall compact sold as Aerio in North America and Liana elsewhere, on Suzuki's own platform with the M-series petrol fours. Its useful distinguishing feature is the drivetrain: an available on-demand all-wheel-drive system on an otherwise ordinary front-drive small car, whose rear differential and viscous coupling are the parts nothing else in Suzuki's range of those years shares. The M16A and M18A engines are chain-driven, so a timing complaint on one is a tensioner and guide question rather than a belt-interval question.
