Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The electric van that revives the shape of the original Type 2, built on the MEB platform it shares with the ID.3 and ID.4 — so their material covers the drive unit, the battery management and the infotainment, which is where nearly all of its faults live. It is rear-driven with the motor on the rear axle, like the bus it refers to and unlike every other Volkswagen van of the last thirty years; the all-wheel-drive version adds a second motor at the front rather than a propshaft, so a front-drive fault is an electrical diagnosis. Sold as a passenger van and as a Cargo panel version whose rear body wiring differs.
