Volvo S90

Two cars separated by eighteen years. The 2016-onward S90 is the large saloon and estate on SPA, sharing platform, engines and electronics with the XC90 — so XC90 information covers most of it, the V90 estate is the same car, and what defines the range is that every engine is a 2.0 four-cylinder whatever the badge: T6 is supercharged and turbocharged, T8 adds a rear electric axle on top of that, and B4 to B6 add a 48-volt starter-generator, so a power complaint has three separate systems that could be responsible and the badge does not tell you which. The 1997-98 S90 is the 960 renamed for its last two years — a rear-drive straight-six saloon and estate with nothing mechanical in common with the later car.
