Faulty water in fuel sensor
The sensor in a diesel filter warning that water has collected. It guards against the fault that destroys the high-pressure pump, so a sensor code should be treated as a reason to drain the filter rather than an inconvenience — water is the only thing standing between the pump and its sole lubricant.
Typically an easy fix. Often worth checking before paying anyone to look.
