P0069: Manifold Absolute Pressure — Barometric Pressure Correlation
What to do
Usually still driveable, though fuelling accuracy suffers at altitude and under load. Worth checking the MAP sensor's vacuum hose first, as it is a common and cheap find.
What this code means
With the engine off, manifold pressure and atmospheric pressure should read the same, because the manifold is open to the atmosphere through the throttle. The module uses that moment to sanity-check one sensor against the other. When they disagree, one of them is drifting — and since the comparison happens at key-on, a blocked or split vacuum hose to the MAP sensor produces this code just as readily as a failed sensor does.
