What this code means
A circuit fault in the engine oil temperature sensor. Oil temperature matters more on modern engines than it once did: variable valve timing depends on oil viscosity, service interval calculations use it, and on some engines it governs when the module will permit full power after a cold start. Losing it usually costs a little performance rather than causing a fault.
