Engine Oil Temperature Sensor
Reports oil temperature, which governs variable valve timing behaviour, service interval calculation and on some engines when full power is permitted after a cold start. Oil runs hotter than coolant under sustained load, so an over-temperature reading can be genuine with a normal coolant gauge.
