P0372: Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Few Pulses

Expect reduced performance. Ask for the sensor tip and reluctor ring to be inspected visually — debris on the tip is a common and trivial find.
What this code means
Fewer pulses arrived per revolution than expected. Where too many pulses implicates noise, too few implicates the physical signal source — a damaged tooth on the reluctor, debris on the sensor tip, or an air gap that has opened up. A visual inspection often finds this faster than any measurement.
