P0444: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve A Circuit Open
What to do
Usually driveable with no symptom. Will fail an emissions test.
What this code means
An open circuit where the purge valve should be — the module can find no current path at all. Measuring across the valve terminals distinguishes an open winding from an open in the harness in a single reading, and a disconnected connector is worth eliminating before either.
