EVAP Purge Valve
Meters stored fuel vapour from the charcoal canister into the intake manifold when the engine can tolerate it. One of the few evaporative components whose failure a driver actually notices: stuck open it admits vapour continuously, including at idle where the engine is least able to cope, giving a rough or surging idle and a difficult hot restart immediately after refuelling.
