P0458: Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve A Circuit Low
What to do
Usually driveable with no symptom. Will fail an emissions test.
What this code means
The purge valve control circuit is reading low — typically shorted to ground, or a driver holding the circuit low when it should be released. Disconnecting the valve isolates whether the low reading originates in the valve or the harness.
