What to do
Expect harsh shifts or a fixed gear. Ask for the solenoid winding to be measured rather than the part replaced on the code alone — a broken wire gives an identical reading and costs far less.
What this code means
The control circuit reads above its valid range — an open circuit or a short to supply. An open winding inside the solenoid and a broken wire to it are indistinguishable at the module, and measuring the winding resistance directly is what separates a part from a harness.
