P0962: Pressure Control Solenoid A Control Circuit Low
What to do
Expect harsh shifts or a fixed gear. Drive gently to a garage rather than any distance — the converter is unlocked in the protective mode and heats the fluid.
What this code means
The control circuit reads below its valid range, normally a short to ground. The module shuts its output driver down rather than continue feeding a short, so the solenoid stops responding entirely and the transmission falls back to a protective pressure setting.
