What this code means
The Control Pilot circuit is present but not behaving correctly — a signal arriving, and the levels or the timing not matching what the standard defines. This is the variant where the fault may genuinely be outside the car: a charge point whose pilot output has drifted, or a damaged cable, produces exactly this from a healthy vehicle, which is why trying a second cable is worth doing before anything else.
