What to do

What this code means
The module's internal battery monitoring function has failed its own check.
This is a module reporting that the part of itself which watches the traction battery is not working, and it is a different claim from any of the sensor codes around it.
A battery management system is not only a set of sensors — it is a set of calculations. It integrates current over time to estimate state of charge, models each group's internal resistance, tracks temperature history, and predicts how much power the pack can safely deliver in the next ten seconds. This code says the machinery doing that arithmetic has failed a self-test, so the inputs may all be perfect and the conclusions are not to be trusted.
The car's response is to stop trusting the pack, because a management system that cannot vouch for its own numbers cannot authorise full power or a full charge. So the presentation is a car that is suddenly and severely conservative — reduced power, restricted charging, a state of charge display that may be visibly wrong — with no individual component appearing at fault.
Two cheap explanations deserve ruling out before a module is quoted. Software — battery management logic is updated more often than almost anything else on the vehicle, because pack behaviour is still being learned in the field. And a module that was replaced or reprogrammed without being configured for this pack, which fails its own check for the entirely sensible reason that it is checking against the wrong battery.
