P2235: O2 Sensor Signal Circuit Shorted to Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2
What to do
The car will drive normally. If a catalytic converter has been diagnosed on this bank at the same time, question it — this fault produces exactly the reading a dead converter produces, and it is far cheaper. Repair the wiring or sensor first and see whether the converter fault comes back.
What this code means
The short at the post-catalyst position on bank 2. Fuelling is unaffected, catalyst monitoring for that bank is not — and the warning at P2232 applies unchanged and is the reason this page exists: a downstream signal pinned at a fixed voltage is indistinguishable from a converter that has stopped working, and the converter is many times the price of the fault.
On a V engine there are two converters, so the misattribution here is to a specific expensive part on a specific side.
