P2239: O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 1
What to do
Expect worse economy and possibly reduced power. Ask for the connector terminals to be checked as well as the wiring — a terminal that has backed out of its housing gives this code and costs nothing to correct.
What this code means
The positive current control circuit reads above its valid range — a short to supply, or a circuit the module cannot pull down when it expects to.
As with the open variant, the practical first check is the connector rather than the sensor. These plugs are handled during any exhaust or manifold work and their locking tabs become brittle with heat, so a terminal pushed back in its housing is a routine finding and produces the same reading as a short.
