P2333: Ignition Coil L Primary Control Circuit Low
Do not keep driving
Stop if the engine light is flashing. Ask for the coil to be swapped with a neighbouring cylinder before parts are bought, and check whether the fault is on the low-voltage side or the high-voltage side — the two point at completely different parts.
What this code means
Coil L's primary control circuit reads below its valid range. L is the twelfth and last coil the standard defines, so this closes a family of thirty-six codes covering twelve cylinders.
Worth restating once at the end, because it is the thing most worth carrying away from the whole block: P23xx splits into primary and secondary what P03xx reports as one fault. Where a vehicle stores P0362 you know only that coil L's circuit is unhappy; where it stores P2333, P2334 or P2335 you already know which side, and therefore which half of the parts list to look at. That is free information and it is the reason to check which family is present before starting.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

Nothing posted about this yet. Whatever you found is worth writing down — even a dead end saves someone the same afternoon.
What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
