Expect a group of systems to have stopped working together. One broken wire does this.

As at U0066, mention any past electrical oddities nobody could reproduce — this repair very probably explains them, because a wire down to its last strands causes months of intermittent faults before it finally breaks.

And one thing to insist on when the break is found: ask for the damaged length of loom to be replaced rather than one wire spliced.

There is a real reason beyond thoroughness. The two wires work because they are electrically identical — same length, same route, same twist. Repairing one and not the other makes them slightly different — and on a network that is already marginal, that is precisely the condition that produces errors while every test looks perfect.

A car repaired that way can come back with a fresh fault and nothing visibly wrong, which is a frustrating outcome that is entirely avoidable.

The negative line of vehicle communication bus E is open circuit. Everything at U0066 applies, including that a break which is permanent today may explain months of intermittent faults nobody could reproduce.

U0006's instruction is the one to carry: inspect the partner conductor along the same length wherever a break is found, and replace a damaged section of loom rather than splicing a single wire — because a pair repaired asymmetrically is no longer the matched pair the twisting depends on.

And U0033's consequence applies with force on a network already known to be marginal. A repair that leaves the two conductors slightly different is exactly the condition that produces errors under traffic while measuring perfectly at rest — so a vehicle repaired that way can return with U0065 stored and nothing visibly wrong.
