Be wary of a repair that consists of clearing the code and resetting the adaptation. This fault means the engine module ran out of adjustment for a worn or restricted injector — resetting it does not change the injector, and the fault returns within a few hundred miles.
Ask for the trim figures on all six cylinders before agreeing to anything. If several are near their limits, doing them together is far cheaper than one at a time on a six-cylinder engine.
Ask whether cleaning and flow testing is worth trying, which can restore an injector restricted by deposits.
Mention the fuel filter's age and any history of poor fuel, since deposits are what narrow the spray holes.

The adaptation will walk straight back to its limit, usually within a few hundred miles, because nothing about the hardware changed. A garage that clears these and hands the car back has deferred the problem rather than fixed it.
For this specific code, the ordinary under-delivery causes apply — a nozzle narrowed by deposits, a slow-opening actuator, a wrong calibration code, or restricted supply. On a six-cylinder engine the set-versus-single question matters most, because access and labour dominate the bill.
Ask for all six trims before deciding. It is the same advice as its siblings and it is the advice that most often changes the outcome.
