Wat te doen
Expect hard starting and rough running. Ask whether the pressure has been measured independently rather than only read from this sensor — the code cannot tell a drifting sensor from a system genuinely not making pressure, and those are very different repairs. A quick check that the sensor reads near zero with the engine off is free and settles a good proportion of these.
Wat deze code betekent
The injection control pressure sensor is producing a reading that is electrically valid but does not match what the module expects for the conditions.
The distinction that matters here is between a sensor reading wrongly and a system genuinely delivering the wrong pressure — the same ambiguity the corpus meets at P2201. The module compares the pressure it commanded against the pressure it is told exists, and a mismatch could be either side of that comparison. A sensor drifting slowly with age and one reporting accurately on a system that cannot hold pressure look identical in a code list.
What separates them is a mechanical pressure reading taken independently, which is the measurement to ask for. Where that is not available, a sensor whose reading is implausible with the engine stopped — it should sit at atmospheric — is fairly conclusive on its own and costs nothing to check.
