Mazda CX-90
The three-row car that replaced the CX-9, and mechanically it has almost nothing in common with it: the engine is a longitudinal inline-six, the drive is rear-biased, and the platform is Mazda's large one rather than the transverse layout every other CX uses. Worth establishing before any driveline diagnosis, because CX-9 information does not carry across. The eight-speed automatic has no torque converter — a wet multi-plate clutch takes its place — so the low-speed hesitation and creep behaviour owners report is the design rather than a fault, and is worth separating from a real complaint before anything is stripped.
