Actuator not calibrated after repair
A transmission actuator replaced or disturbed without the teach-in that re-baselines the module's learned values. The module drives an automated clutch or shift mechanism through a stored model of exactly where it bites and how far it travels — and a new part does not match the old part's model.
The signature is a gearbox that shifts worse immediately after a repair. The fix is a scan-tool calibration procedure, not more parts; replacing the new actuator again without the procedure reproduces the fault with newer hardware.
