Expect a rougher idle and reduced performance rather than a no-start, since cylinder identification usually survives on the A sensor. Worth diagnosing before the phaser is affected.
What this code means
A circuit fault in the second camshaft position sensor on bank 1 — normally the exhaust camshaft, where the A sensor watches the intake. Engines with independent phasing on both camshafts need both signals to control either, so losing the B sensor typically disables exhaust phasing and forces a default position.
