What to do
Note the conditions — hot, cold, rough road, hard acceleration. Intermittent solenoid faults reliably become permanent ones, so catching this early is the cheaper path.
What this code means
Solenoid C operates unreliably rather than failing outright, so the transmission takes a brief protective shift and then recovers. The internal harness and its pass-through connector are the usual causes, both aggravated by heat and by the valve body moving as pressure changes.
