P0754: Shift Solenoid A Intermittent
What to do
If the transmission occasionally drops into a single gear and then recovers, that is this fault. Mention whether it happens when hot, cold, or over rough surfaces — and whether the gearbox has had any work done recently, since a disturbed connector is a common trigger.
What this code means
Shift solenoid A works, then briefly does not. The transmission's response to losing a solenoid is a protective shift, so the experience is a gearbox that goes wrong for a few seconds and recovers — usually more often as the fault develops.
The internal harness is the leading suspect, because it lives in hot fluid and moves with the valve body every time pressure changes. A connector that has been disturbed by previous work, or a pass-through fitting that has begun to leak fluid into the wire strands, produces exactly this and looks perfect from outside.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

Nothing posted about this yet. Whatever you found is worth writing down — even a dead end saves someone the same afternoon.
What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
