What to do
Expect stop-start and cruise control to be unavailable, and possibly a reluctance to crank. Pressing the clutch fully to the floor often gets a stubborn start in the meantime.
What this code means
Clutch pedal switch A reads above its valid range — an open circuit or a short to supply. On a switch mounted at the top of the pedal box, where it is knocked by the pedal returning many thousands of times, mechanical failure of the switch itself outranks wiring faults comfortably.
