P0892: Transmission Control Module Power Relay Sense Circuit Intermittent
What to do
Intermittent warning lights and occasional poor shifting. Mention whether it is worse over rough roads. This is one of the few faults where a workshop simply reseating a relay may resolve it entirely.
What this code means
The relay sense circuit reports inconsistently. Relay sockets are a common cause: repeated thermal cycling relaxes the spring contacts that grip the relay pins, and a relay that is loose in its socket makes and breaks with vibration.
Worth trying before anything is diagnosed properly — removing and refitting the relay, and checking whether it is a firm push to seat it. A relay that drops into its socket under its own weight has already told you the answer.
