What to do
Gear changes may feel slow and stay that way however far you drive. If the gearbox is worse in heavy traffic than on the motorway, mention it — for this system that is the pattern of overheating, which is the reverse of what most people expect.
What this code means
A fault in the sensor measuring the temperature of the actuation hydraulic fluid. The module needs it because fluid viscosity changes with heat, and actuator movements timed for warm fluid are wrong for cold — so without a trustworthy reading it applies conservative timings, which shows as gear changes that stay slow and deliberate however long the car is driven.
When this fluid gets hot is worth knowing, because it is the opposite of intuition. The pump works hardest where gear changes are most frequent, so it is stop-start traffic that overheats a dual-clutch actuation system, not motorway driving. A gearbox that misbehaves in town and is faultless on a long run has told you which system is struggling.
