What to do
Shift quality varying from change to change with no obvious reason is characteristic. Worth catching before it becomes permanent.
What this code means
The hydraulic fluid temperature signal drops out or jumps briefly. Because actuator timings are calculated from it, an unstable reading makes shift quality vary between changes with no pattern the driver can identify — good, then abrupt, then good again.
The gearbox harness is the usual cause, as it is for every sensor on this assembly: hot fluid, constant vibration, and connectors that see oil mist.
