P0A09: DC/DC Converter Status Circuit Low
What to do
Treat this as a countdown rather than an advisory: if the converter has stopped, the car is running on its small battery alone and will eventually shut down. Switch off anything electrical you do not need and head somewhere useful rather than continuing a long journey.
What this code means
The DC-DC converter status circuit reads below its valid range, normally a short to ground or a converter reporting that it is not producing its output.
If the converter genuinely has stopped, the vehicle is running its entire twelve-volt system from the small battery alone with nothing replenishing it — the same position as a conventional car with a failed alternator, and with the same countdown. Expect twenty to forty minutes of ordinary running before things begin shutting down, extended considerably by switching off headlights, heated screens and air conditioning.
