Watch the battery warning light and do not ignore it — a hybrid that cannot run its DC-DC converter is living on its small twelve-volt battery. Repairs around the converter are high-voltage territory: leave the orange cabling to a qualified hybrid workshop.

What this code means

The DC-DC converter's enable line is stuck low — reading ground when the module expects it to be driven.

Depending on which way the vehicle's logic runs, a line held low either keeps the converter permanently off or permanently on. Off gives the P0A11 picture: the twelve-volt system running down while a full traction pack sits unreachable above it. The consequence is the same either way — the module has lost authority over its own charging system, and the fault is nearly always in the wiring or a connector rather than in the converter itself.
