What to do
Treat as urgent, exactly like a failing alternator: finish your journey somewhere convenient for a workshop, not for a recovery truck. If accessories were recently fitted — amplifiers, inverters, winches — say so; an overloaded converter reads identically to a failing one.
What this code means
The fourteen-volt output is genuinely low — the converter is not keeping up, and the twelve-volt system is living off its battery.
This is the P0A11 consequence measured rather than inferred: the alternator-failure presentation on a car with no alternator. The causes split into the converter failing, the converter being told to fail (the enable and status families), and an overload — something on the twelve-volt side drawing more than the converter can source, which is worth remembering on cars with aftermarket accessories.
The clock is real: when the twelve-volt battery runs down, the car does not merely stop — it cannot even close the contactors to restart, because the high-voltage system needs the low-voltage one to wake it.
