P0A8B: 14 Volt Power Module System Voltage
What to do
If several unrelated warnings appear together, suspect this system before believing any of them — a voltage fault manufactures phantom codes across the whole car. The free check from P0A11 applies: with the system READY, the twelve-volt battery should sit near fourteen volts.
What this code means
The voltage on the converter's fourteen-volt output is wrong in a way the more specific variants have not claimed — the hybrid's arrival at the system-voltage family the corpus already knows from P0560.
Everything the twelve-volt system runs on comes through this output, so a voltage fault here is never local: modules brown out, lamps dim or flare, and unrelated codes accumulate — the one-shared-thing argument, with the converter as the shared thing. The measurement chain matters too: the module reads this voltage through its own wiring, so a bad earth or corroded terminal can make a healthy converter read wrong.
The variants split the diagnosis: unstable (P0A8C), low (P0A8D), high (P0A8E). This base code is what stores when the reading is simply not credible.
