What to do
Mention anything that reliably brings it on — a particular road, cold mornings, speed bumps. An intermittent that can be provoked is an intermittent that can be found, and that information genuinely shortens the job.
What this code means
Sensor B's signal is breaking up — jumping, dropping out, or stepping in ways a real current cannot.
Intermittent is a connection until proved otherwise. A sensor that fails outright stays failed; a signal that comes and goes is describing a joint that is only sometimes a joint, and the things that make one are corrosion, a terminal that has lost its grip, a chafed wire touching something occasionally, and a connector that was never fully latched.
The useful diagnostic property is that it is provokable. Unlike most faults, this one can usually be reproduced on command by moving the harness, loading the connector or running the car over rough ground while the signal is watched — which is worth far more than a fault code, because it identifies the inch of wire rather than the circuit.
