As P0BFF, and check the mechanical possibilities first — a dragging brake or failing bearing is cheap, common, and makes the motor draw exactly this. If the car has felt slower, run warmer or lost range with no other explanation, say so.

What this code means

Drive motor A is drawing more current than the commanded torque explains.

High is the direction that costs something while it continues, because current makes heat everywhere it flows. The suspects are the ones at P0BFF with the short-circuit and mechanical-drag halves emphasised: insulation breaking down between windings lets current circulate without producing torque, and a mechanical load nobody accounted for — a dragging brake, a seizing bearing — makes the motor work harder for the same road speed.

The mechanical possibility is the cheap one and the only one that damages something else while it is ignored, so it goes first.
