P0C2E: Electric/Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Control Module Feedback Signal High
What to do
The pump may well be fine; it is the line that reports on it that has failed. The car cannot tell the difference and will act cautiously either way, which is the right response. Cheap things first: this is a signal wire and a connector.
What this code means
The signal by which the pump's control module reports back to the transmission module is reading above its valid range.
This is the confirm half of the command-and-confirm pair whose command half is at P0C23 — the same sense-versus-control distinction the battery cooling fan makes at P0BC7. The command line says do this; the feedback line says this is what I did.
Why it earns a code of its own: without it the transmission module can only know what it asked for. It would go on believing pressure was being maintained while the pump sat idle, and the first sign of trouble would be a clutch slipping. The feedback line is what turns an assumption into a fact.
Note that the pump may be working perfectly here — it is the reporting that has failed — but the transmission module cannot know that, and will behave conservatively as though it were not.
