What this code means
The learned fully open position for sensor F has drifted, closing the maximum stop family. The argument is under P2164.
F is the third sensor of the second group, and its presence is worth a line of its own: a vehicle carrying six position sensors has three measuring pedal or throttle travel in each group, which is more redundancy than a car needs to run and exactly as much as it needs to fail safely. That is why the range spends thirty code numbers on what is, mechanically, one moving part — the letters are not variants of a fault, they are the reason a single sensor failure never leaves the module guessing.
