Stop driving it, especially if a new tapping or ticking noise has appeared from the top of the engine — the reasoning is at P2647, and it is about avoiding camshaft damage rather than about comfort. The cheap causes are still worth checking first, but without driving it around while that happens.
What this code means
The B rocker arm actuator on bank 1 engaged and did not release. The consequences, and the mechanical reason for not driving it, are at P2647: a mechanism jammed part-way can lose contact with its cam lobe and strike it again under valve spring load, and camshaft and lifter damage is a documented outcome.
Expect a rough idle and poor low-speed running on a variable lift engine, or a persistent misfire feel and vibration on a deactivation engine with a cylinder held shut.
