Hyundai Equus
Hyundai's rear-drive flagship saloon, sold as Centennial in the Middle East and — for six years from 2011 — through American Hyundai dealers with no separate luxury network behind it. The two generations share almost nothing. The 1999 car is a Mitsubishi Proudia underneath and its documentation reaches back to Mitsubishi rather than to Hyundai; the 2009 VI is Hyundai's own rear-drive BH platform with Tau V8s, air suspension and an early electronic architecture whose modules an older generic scan tool may not address at all. The Genesis G90 replaced it in 2015 and is a different car again, so a search for "Equus" that lands on a G90 page is on the wrong vehicle.

Co-developed with Mitsubishi and sold there as the Proudia and Dignity. Never sold in the United States; the mechanical documentation that fits it is Mitsubishi's.

Hyundai's own rear-drive BH platform, shared with the Genesis saloon. Sold in America 2011-2016; air suspension and adaptive damping are standard, so a ride-height fault here is an air-spring question rather than a worn damper.
