Short circuit in a fuel injector
An injector winding shorted internally, which loads the module's driver rather than simply not opening. Left in place it can take the driver stage with it, turning an injector into an injector and a module — so a shorted winding is worth acting on rather than driving on.
Typically a moderate job.
