Weak throttle return spring
The spring that must close the throttle if the actuator loses power — a safety default rather than a convenience. A weak spring means the plate does not return to its rest position, which the module detects as a disagreement between commanded and actual, and it responds by cutting power because an unclosable throttle is not something to tolerate.
