P0389: Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Intermittent

Expect intermittent power loss. Report whether it happens hot, cold or over bumps, and have it repaired rather than tolerated.
What this code means
The second crankshaft signal is dropping out intermittently. Less immediately dangerous than the A-sensor equivalent P0339, because the primary signal keeps the engine running — but the same heat-sensitive and connector-related causes apply, and losing redundancy means the next failure has nothing to fall back on.
