What to do
Driveable at first, but treat it promptly on a diesel for the same reason as P0544 — regeneration is usually inhibited while it is stored.
What this code means
A circuit fault on the first exhaust gas temperature sensor on bank 2 — the counterpart of P0544 on the engine's second bank. Everything in that code applies, with the same consequence for particulate filter regeneration.
Where both banks report faults at once, look for a shared supply, ground or connector rather than two sensors failing simultaneously.
