P0565: Cruise Control On Signal
What to do
Driveable; cruise control will not work or will not switch off. If the horn or steering wheel audio controls have also stopped working, mention it — that points at the clock spring, which carries all of them.
What this code means
A fault in the signal that switches cruise control on. Where the on signal is stuck active the system may appear permanently armed, and where it never arrives cruise control cannot be enabled at all.
On steering-wheel switch packs the clock spring behind the wheel is a recurring culprit, because it carries every steering wheel signal through a rotating joint and wears with use.
