What to do
Note the conditions when it happens — hot, cold, rough road, hard acceleration. Intermittent faults like this reliably become permanent ones, so catching it early is cheaper than waiting.
What this code means
Shift solenoid B operates unreliably rather than failing outright. The transmission takes a protective shift each time the signal is lost, so the symptom is intermittent limp mode — wrong for a few seconds, then normal again.
The internal harness and its pass-through connector are the usual causes, both aggravated by heat and by the valve body moving under pressure. Recording live solenoid data while the fault is provoked is far more productive than reading stored codes afterwards, because the moment of failure is the only time the evidence exists.
